Radio

I work as a freelance journalist and broadcaster – as a presenter, reporter, producer and commentator.

My past and current client list includes a wide variety of radio stations in the UK and overseas.

I regularly contribute to BBC Sport, roles which have included presenting and commentating for Radio 5 Live, presenting duties on Radio Scotland as well as writing for its website.

Formerly, I was Scotland correspondent for talkSPORT and served as head of sport and presenter at its sister station, talk107, in Edinburgh, then the only speech station in the UK based outside London. I was involved in its launch in 2006 – and in developing its programming and sports news from inception as well as much-praised live events.

My specialities as a broadcaster include basketball – where I commentate regularly for the BBC- as well as athletics and the business and governance of sport. I formerly produced and presented the Basketball 24/7 radio show.

I previously worked as an analyst and reporter on BBC’s Five Live‘s specialist basketball show ‘Hoops’ and have appeared on a variety of other stations including BBC Radio 1/4/5 Live, ESPN, Radio Ulster, LBC, Forth, LoveSport and ABC (Australia).

I produce and host a regular podcast, The MVP Cast, focusing on basketball and am available for production commissions.

Additionally, I provide broadcasting reports from events on a sponsored or pooled basis, with tailored packages for clients – for example, with a feed from the Cricket World Cup or from Super Bowl.
