I have a wide variety of interests outside of content and communications, most of which do not involve watching sport.
I serve as a board member and Trustee of Inch Park Community Sports Trust in Edinburgh, focusing on communications, business development and government lobbying.
While I also work with Speakers for Schools, an educational advocacy charity, to deliver motivational talks to pupils. Contact them if you would like me to come pay a visit.
Professionally, I am a past chair of the British Athletics Writers Association and Basketball Journalists Association and serve on the Commission of the International Sports Media Association (AIPS) as well as acting as Chapter Head for the Professional Basketball Writers Association.
I play basketball for the mighty Basketeers – although I can no longer dunk* – while I golf to a risible standard.
I am a graduate of the University of Dundee and Edinburgh Napier University and – having studied and worked abroad – I am fluent in Spanish and French.
